Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento
Ashton Blaise Whitty is an American actress, born in Berkeley on the 1st of October 1996. She is known as an actor in Choices (2010). The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2007) and Chrissie Mayr's Content House 2022.
Asia Argento, born in Rome to a family which also includes actors and directors was also a professional. At the age of nine and acting, she made her debut in the film of Sergio Citti, Sogni e bisogni. In 1988, she was cast in the lead role in the first feature of Cristina Comencini's film Zoo. Additionally, she was one of Michele's casting in The Church. Red Wood Pigeon was the subsequent year's film, in which Asia was Nanni's daughters. Close Friends was written by Michele Placido and was directed by her. The film was the point at which Asia's career started to grow, and she moved from young girl roles to mature and complex ones. Cannes International Film Festival received the movie well. In Trauma she appeared in her first film with her father, the renowned Italian horror director Dario Argento Her mother is one of his favorite actors, Daria Nicolodi, playing an overweight girl on the lookout for her parents' killer. Asia's absorbed and intense acting skills were utilized in Giuseppe Piccioni's Condannato nozze. The year 1993 was the first time she costarred in Carlo Verdone's Perdiamoci di vista where she performed the role of Arianna who was a physical challenged woman. It was a complex role and difficult, securing her recognition from David di Donatello for the best actor. In 1995 she co-starred with Michel Piccoli in Peter Del Monte's Compagna di viaggio which again brought her a David diDonatello and the Grolla d'oro. Asia began directing as a career in 1994. She produced two shorts, one of which was De Generazione. The following year, 1996, Asia made a document about her father. And, finally, 1998, Asia produced a feature film on Abel Ferrara (AbelAsia), which was recognized with an award at the Rome Film Festival. Asia directed her debut feature in Scarlet Diva (1999), in which she was both the lead actress as well as the writer of the screenplay. The film came out in May 2000 both in Italy and the rest of world. This film was awarded by the Williamsburg Festival of Brooklyn, New York.
