Following that Baker and his dad moved to Denver where they lived with his aunt, who was his father's. Baker's lack of resources was a reason for bullying by kids who were around him. He is known for fusing hip-hop styles that are contemporary and alternative to rock music into his songs. Baker was signed to Bad Boy Records in 2010 and released four mixtapes between 2007 and 2010. With lyrics that were faster than bullet trains, this Cleveland artist saw an explosive rise to fame in 2011. He went from releasing self-released tapes to signing with labels. From there his career skyrocketed every album being ranked within the top ten.
