Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muaythai fighter from Peru, and mixed martial arts artist who is a part of UFC. UFC in the Flyweight Division. She is an Kyrgyzstani. Valentina is her older sister and a fellow UFC competitor. Antonina Shevchenko started her combat sports journey with an Muay Thai kickboxer. She made her debut at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko won the tournament and defeated Suzane Miller at the end of the tournament by an the unanimous vote. Antonina won a medal of silver in 2007, a medal of bronze in 2008 and then a gold in 2011. Antonina was also named IFMA World Amateur Muay Thai Champion of 2016 by IFMA. Antonia's professional career began in 2003. She won in 2012 the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship, in 2016, the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, the WMC World Championships. Antonina has fought her last time against Isa Tidblad Kskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won by unanimous decision. Antonina Schevchenko started career-long MMA professional career back in the year 2002 after a win over Anara Baanova in the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She was victorious in the second round TKO, and then won 2 additional fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships to achieve a record of 3-0. Shevchenko was absent from MMA so that she could focus on kickboxing. She made her comeback with a win against Anissa Haddaoui in Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko won against Anissa with a unanimous win. She went on to knock out Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. In 2018, she resigned from the competition and began competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko wrestled Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina's striking skills were superior and enabled her to TKO Nievera via knees in the back of her. Antonina accepted an UFC deal following her win. Antonina was offered a UFC contract after her win. Shevchenko took the win by unanimous decision, but she lost her next fight against Roxanne Modafferi in a split decision. Antonina bounced off the loss and fought Lucie Prudilova's battle in UFC on ESPN Covingtonvs. Lawler who was able to win the fight by rear naked choke. This was by far the most exciting fight of the night for the fight. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record in her three subsequent matches which included a win against Ariane Lipski and being defeated by Katlyn Clarkagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina has recently been lost to Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
