Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef and the former Institute of Culinary Education instructor she is a popular TV host. She hosts the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and also serves as the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. With her signature spiky blond hair and pumped-up personality Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of restaurant dishes and reveals straightforward, simple techniques to master for home cooks on her Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell also worked at the top New York establishments, studied the Italian food and culture, and participated in Food Network's Iron Chef America. As a child in Upstate New York Chef Burrell was inspired by food. She pursued her passion for working in the restaurant business by enrolment at The Culinary Institute of America following the completion of a bachelor's degree in English and Communications from Canisius College, Buffalo NY. I enjoyed every moment that I was a student in The Culinary Institute of America she declares. I couldn't be more educated or accomplished in my studies. Following graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany as well as La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) while attending Umbria. She also attended the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. During her time in Italy she came to be aware of the philosophies behind Italian food and culture that made a lasting impression on her culinary perspective. Burrell serves on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that brightens up the lives of kids who struggle. Burrell is also a Juvenile diabetes Research Foundation's Celebrity Advocate, where she has a mission to raise awareness for the condition of children with diabetes. She is a frequent guest presenter at conferences, and she travels across the nation as part of her mentorship task. Anne has always been grateful she could share the passion that she had for sharing her cooking skills with other people.
