Maria Bartiromo was the first American journalist to broadcast live in the New York Stock Exchange. She has a number of highly acclaimed show to her name. A broadcasting veteran with over two decades of experience in reporting about business and economy she played a pivotal role in establishing the television channel CNBC as one of the topmost on the market in the economy and business segment. Highly successful as a journalist, her professional career proves that she was always destined to work in this area. Maria, as a girl, was unsure of her career choice. At one point she wanted to be a singer one day she would want to be or an interior designer. When she realized the excitement that journalism has to offer, there was no going to go back. Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn has been an American actress for film television and on stage since the latter part of 1970. A gifted thespian she has been performing professionally for over the past 27 years. Her first stage appearance was in 1990 with an Off-Broadway production of The Big Funk directed by John Patrick Shanley. Then, in The Perfect Tribute, she was given her first TV appearance the following year. Her breakthrough for her career was in 1992 when she was a character in the film Basic Instinct. For The Firm, she played the leading female character for the very first time. The film was filmed with Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman. Through the 1990s she collaborated with some of the biggest names in the field, such as Gwyneth Paltrow in Sliding Doors, Hugh Grant in Mickey Blue Eyes and Julie Andrews in Relative Values. In recent times, she played Dr. Alex Blake (a police procedural-crime drama) in Criminal Minds.
